SINTELPV

Inteligent System for the Extremal Control of Photovoltaic Panels

Objectives

The project goal is to provide an intelligent control system called SINTELPV for obtaining a maximum power generated by photovoltaic panels with variable orientation (PPVO) in order to improve energy conversion efficiency. The proposal is based on the results obtained at the level of methods, algorithms and experimental tests conducted in simulation and confirmed through multiple publications of international scientific value, obtained by the ACPC team (level TRL2) and will be materialized through a product based on the concept "hardware in the loop", validated in the laboratory (level TRL4), with the possibility of implementation in the industry. The system integrates advanced techniques for identification, control and optimization, in a modular and flexible hardware-software configuration, dedicated to real-time control of photovoltaic installations.

Results

The estimated results of the project are the following:

- selection and development of methods and algorithms for identification and extremal control of photovoltaic panels with variable orientation

- development and evaluation of performances for the SINTELPV preliminary experimental "hardware in the loop" model

- construction of the SINTELPV final version demonstrator and its evaluation of performances

- publications and dissemination
